Composer and multi-instrumentalist Sean FitzGerald grew up in Miami Beach, Florida. At the age of 12, he received his first guitar as a birthday gift from his parents, sparking his long lasting love affair with music making. Upon graduating high school, Sean moved to Orlando, where he began playing in local rock bands, producing music, and promoting live music. Sean is one of the founding members of the post rock group, Motion Picture Massacre (guitar, piano, samplers, synths), which played with bands like Animal Collective, Explosions in the Sky, Gang Gang Dance, The Mercury Program, The Album Leaf, Six Parts Seven, Longwave, Blood Brothers, Melt Banana, Mono, and numerous others. 

In 2005, Sean was accepted to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Berklee student, Sean achieved dean's list status, while studying film scoring & music composition, under Emmy Award-winning composer Sheldon Mirowitz (Outside Providence, Always a Bridesmaid, Columbus and The Age of Discovery, The Nazi Officer's Wife, Legacy), music editing with Eric Reasoner (Swing Kids, Last Action Hero, Demolition Man, Lethal Weapon 3 & 4, Die Hard with Avengance, Curly Sue), and dramatic orchestration for film & television with Richard Davis (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Last Boy Scout, The Fall Guy).

After graduating from Berklee, Sean FitzGerald moved to  New York City where he has scored numerous shorts, features, and television pilots.
